I think all of the setups work. It will take me time to properly judge all of the setups and identify how to distribute the weight based on how all of the elements work together. I'm no longer judging one yoyo and it's performance and feel. I am judging like 12+ different setups within one Side Effect setup - adding more side effects to that equation obviously doubles, triples, etc.
As a result, I need way more time to polish this yoyo. It's going to be put on hold until I have more time and understanding of weight distribution.
Overall, the first few days of throwing it I would say that I've landed on something special for sure. It somehow worked out and all of my parts fit with no issues. Vibe does get added when you put parts on, but it's so negligible for most of them.
In terms of how the yoyo plays in most configurations, it all feels great so far. If you really want a heavy yoyo you can achieve that, but it doesn't feel like a rock which is a huge bonus. The reverse to that is you can play it stock at 56 grams and have one of the lightest, floatiest, zippiest, unstable yoyos you could ever want. It has no power, it's more on the chill side, but since it's so light it feels really "zippy" because you can toss it with so much ease - it's truly a "featherweight" when it has nothing on it.
The best for me has been with just the weight rings in - which I was concerned about and it's still a bit concerning. The main issue here is the fact that the rubber ring takes away from a lot of weight that could otherwise be used for weight distribution. Thus one of the reasonings I have to put this whole thing on hold.
I don't want there to be a "best" configuration, but I also don't want there to be a "worst" configuration. As of right now, it's just ever so slightly too unstable in stock configuration. I know how to even it all out, but it will add weight - which will most likely ruin the balance of how the added configurations work. It's a real fine line of balance we're playing when designing. Which is why I know this will take many prototypes to settle on one I want to produce.
