Videos : I swear it's a yo-yo Video

Yo! I hope everyone is doing well. It's been a while, but I've been working on the art and packaging / advertisement for Asora to prepare for the third version.

I recieved Asora v3 in the mail a week ago and was able to bring them to DXL to film a bit of content.

Thank you to all of the players who allowed me to film them. I'm sorry you had to be apart of the video editing experiement as my first test subjects.

I've personally never edited a video, usually I just dump recordings in sequence and upload.

I still have a lot to learn about editing and filming combined but I hope you enjoy my crude project.

I really want to show off "normal" yoyoing as it were. I think while, there's a lot of merit in the quality and content in yoyo videos, they often feel too stiff and serious. I want to show all aspects of yo-yo, from all skill levels, from all perspectives. Surely, these tricks aren't perfect, but if watching these people throw doesn't make you want to get up and yo-yo, then I guess I still gotta work on my editing.

This is what I would call a more "raw" edit, where the people throwing have no pre-planned tricks, haven't even adjusted to the yoyo itself, and weren't expecting to be filmed. This is the beauty of yo-yo for me, the flow, the vibes, the fun, the vast difference in tricks, styles, and execution. I would like to share this vibe with you all, and continue sharing yoyo tricks in the future, even the ones we miss.

I'm working on prepping Asora right now, writing up a blog post, and getting things prepared to have it ready by worlds. Expect more info soon, until then, enjoy the video.
